過往資歷認可會以能力單元組合形式進行，能力單元組合會列明一般從業員職能所涵蓋的能力，並列明各資歷級別所需要的行業工作年資及相關工作經驗要求，供從業員參考及申請認可。 成功取得資歷認可的申請人，將獲發資歷證明書。
過往資歷認可的評核方法可包括：
