Appeals
        RACAS set up the  Appeal committee to make decisions on receiving, investigating and  allowance of appeals, according to the RACAS appeals-handing system.
 
  
        Appeal  Procedures
            
          - If institutions do not agree with the accreditation  results, they should lodge an appeal in written form with specific reason to  the Appeal Committee, within one month after the Accreditation Committee issued accreditation results  letter.
 
             
           
          - After the Appeal Committee Chairman received the  appeal application, it will be handed to  the Accreditation Committee Chairman within seven days. Accreditation Committee Chairman should respond within 14 days (starting from the day  that the Appeal Committee Chairman received the application). A reply letter which  includes the hearing date, time and venue would be issued to the appealing institution not more  than a month. Besides, the letter should release at least 7 days before the  hearing date, which encloses with the appeal application and feedback from the Accreditation Committee Chairman .The appealing institution and representatives of the  Accreditation Committee would be invited to the hearing. The hearing should be  held within 40 days after issuing the reply letter.
 
             
           
          - The appealing institution could always submit a  written notice to the Appeal Committee Chairman, for  abandoning the whole or any part of the appeal.
 
             
           
          - After the hearing, the Appeal Committee should  determine the appeal is successful or not, or whether it is necessary to make  improvement before granting accreditation. The final decision should inform the  appealing institution and the Accreditation Committee Chairman within 2  weeks after the hearing. The Accreditation Committee should  comply with the decision and implement the follow-up work.
 
             
           
          - The Appeal Committee reserves the right to  make the final decision.
 
             
           
          - All the documents related to the appeal would be  kept at least 3 years under security procedure.
 
             
           
          - A formal written report would be issued to the  appealing institution after all the appeal procedures finished.
